iPhone 14 is an upcoming smartphone installment from Apple, and it becomes a buzzword on the internet, whenever a leak or news surfaces regarding this new iPhone lineup. Speaking of which, iPhone 14 is reportedly in the works with lots of effort and Apple has installed a number of new hardware and software changes to bring a whole new device but our question is, whether iPhone 14 is the real change for Apple customers? Let’s look at the information that we currently have regarding this Apple flagship. Variants and Design:

iPhone 14 could come in four variants – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The initial two models come 6.1-inch display and the later mentioned models feature 6.7-inch panels.

But, the Pro models will have higher advantages in specs over the non-pro models. Adding to this, the iPhone 14 lineup may not bring any mini model this year.Advertisement

On the design side, iPhone 14 will bring the traditional colors of the iPhone 13 but it could install the new titanium alloy frame, which is scratch-resistant and stronger than both steel and aluminum. Cameras:

As compared to the iPhone 13s, iPhone 14 is likely to remove the camera bump on the rear side, which means you may not see that large camera square shape in the upcoming iPhone 14 models. However, that’s the one thing that we need to confirm.

Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that iPhone 14 Pro models will feature a 48MP main camera, which is upgrading from 12MP in standard models. This could be a game-changer for the iPhone 14 users and may reflect the clear change between the two devices. Kuo also suggests that iPhone 14 will also support 8K video recording. Display and notch and holes:

Yes, it’s an interesting section, we’re heading towards the display. The display leaks and renders of the iPhone 14 have gathered a lot of attention from the tech community and consumers. People are really curious to know whether the surfaced renders are true.Advertisement

According to the leaks so far, iPhone 14 Pro models will equip a new display panel with a brand new design featuring a large pill shape and a single circle cutout to house a selfie camera as well as face ID sensors.

This is quite a change that we could assume to wait, as it’ll remove the so-called notch design that was first introduced in 2017, and with iPhone 13 models, it is tweaked to the lowest. A16 and A15:

Unlike the previous generation of iPhones, iPhone 14 series won’t bring the new A16 Bionic chipset in all of the iPhone 14 models. Instead, the Pro models will equip A16 and the standard models will feature last year’s A15 chipsets, which are still far ahead of all of the processors in the Android world. Launch date:

Currently, Apple has not confirmed the launch date but the previous launch date suggests that the iPhone 14 could go on stage in September.Advertisement

Huawei Mate 50 series was suggested to release in July but due to reasons related to Huawei’s current supply chain and components stock, it is reportedly rescheduled to August. As for this year, Huawei has seemingly skipped the launch of the Huawei P60 series and will only launch a single flagship, skipping the P60. Last year, Huawei launched the P50 series in July, the delay in launch is related to the supply chain issues and the launch of the Mate 50 in August shows the same concerns for the Chinese tech maker.

According to reports, Huawei Mate 50 will feature an LTPO display, which is in line with other new phones embracing the technology in 2022. Previous inputs also suggest that this flagship is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. However, the phone would only bring 4G access but the company could add a 5G version featuring a 5G cover.

It’s also expected that it would be the first new Huawei smartphone to come with pre-installed HarmonyOS 3.0 software. As compared to the HarmonyOS 2.0 software, Huawei has improved the overall performance and stability which will further strengthen the task handling.

Talking more about Huawei Mate 50 series, Huawei will continue to bring new camera technologies with this upcoming flagship. On the flip side, Huawei is unlikely to feature Leica powered camera system, since both the firms ended their cooperation on March 31. The company has not confirmed the launch date of Mate 50 devices but it’s likely to happen right after Huawei Nova 10 series. More information is yet to come.Advertisement

Huawei Nova 10 series could launch by late June, which will bring a 5G bundle version but it may not be integrated.  It is expected that the smartphone may be equipped with a 5G cover to enable 5G network services.

According to reports, the Huawei Nova 10 series is likely to equip with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G and the new Snapdragon 7 (Snapdragon 7 Gen 1). Additionally, the series of software and camera modules are better tuned.

However, in June, there are also Huawei tablets, Qualcomm chips, and other smart devices will be launched by Huawei. So, before this device goes official among consumers, let’s check the last generation Huawei Nova series device – Nova 9 Pro.

The Huawei Nova 9 Pro sports a 6.72-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. it is powered by a 4G version of the Snapdragon 778G and runs on HarmonyOS 2. The smartphone holds a storage capacity of 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.Advertisement

This phone comes with 4,000 mAh and supports a 100W superfast charge, it’s the first phone to come with such capacity of recharging brick. The Nova 9 Pro gets a quad-camera setup at its back and a 32MP primary camera and a 32 MP ultra-wide selfie camera.

Huawei launched the Huawei Mate Xs 2 globally on May 18 on the global market. Huawei consumers from Malaysia can pre-order the Mate Xs 2 from June 6 to June 23, 2022, and you may get a chance to grab Huawei Watch GT Pro and HMS rewards exclusively.

This foldable device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G processor with octa-core architecture. There is also Qualcomm’s sixth-generation AI engine that will give you a better experience. Huawei Mate Xs 2 consists of a 50-megapixel primary color camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera. The rear camera supports 3x optical zoom (3x zoom is approximate, lens focal lengths are 13mm, 23mm, 85mm), and 30x digital zoom.

The rear camera has the capabilities to shoot many modes such as Snapshot, dynamic photo, time-lapse photography, micro movie, super wide-angle, slow motion, voice-activated photo, panorama mode, etc. The device holds a battery capacity of 4600mAh. That could recharge with a super-fast 66W charger.Advertisement
