Huawei Mate 50 series is not so far, the company has officially announced the launch date of the series dated 6 September. The Mate 50 series has become an interesting topic as new details are leaked by the tipsters daily. On this very day, the Weibo tipster exposed the IMX766 sensor adopted by the main camera in the Huawei Mate 50 series.
Today, the tipster @digitalchatstation has shared information about the primary camera in the Huawei Mate 50 series to adopt the IMX766 sensor. The phone is rumored to come with 50 Megapixels (1/1.5) in the primary lens.
As per the other revelations, the members of the Mate 50 series may use 3x, 3.5x, and 5x telephoto zoom range for IMX766, IMX688, and OV64B sensors respectively.
However, the main quality for the pro version lies in the variable aperture technology that allows consumers to maintain the light absorption for bright images as well as dark environment photography.Advertisement
The newer model often follows up on the predecessor, but the Huawei Mate 50 series is expected to bring the latest technologies that we will see for the first time like the latest XMAGE imaging system that will come with the series to offer a great picture experience to its users.
The series is also expected to come pre-installed with the stable version of the HarmonyOS 3.0 operating system.
The Mate 40 series was launched two years back and it has been a very long time since the release of any smartphone in the Mate series. Users are keen to see the new technologies and experience the changes with the new Mate 50 series.
It is also revealed that the Pro model is likely to support additional features. The official notification is yet to come until then stay tuned for more updates.Advertisement

With the onset of a new day, the Huawei Mate 50 series has brought some new information into its pocket. While the company has made the respective series capable of only 4G functions, some third-party dealers assure that Huawei Mate 50 lineup can support new phone cases that will turn the 4G devices into 5G in seconds.
According to the latest information, the tech-pack Mate 50 lineup can access the 5G services through an advanced phone case worth 799 yuan [116.57 USD]. You might have seen the same price tag on the Huawei P50 Pro 5G phone case.
Consequently, a 5G phone case helps you to enjoy the 5G functions and services even with a 4G handset. It equips an eSIM chip and a 5G modem that levels up the network of a smartphone from 4G to 5G.
On the flip side, these cases also bring support for G dual-mode, three major network operators, and super fast connections. As it is a phone case, it also protects your device from falling or getting scratches on the back.Advertisement
Mate 50 series and its 5G phone case
So far, we have collected several sprouts growing on the Huawei Mate 50 series surface regarding the 5G cases. As the words of a Chinese digital tipster, the upcoming flagship was in suspect to equip with such phone cases that could enable the 5G services.
However, at that time things were swinging on speculations. But as we are stepping towards the launch date, more and more info about the Mate 50 devices is getting clear. Since the company has already implemented the 5G solution to many of its other devices, we could probably see the Mate 50 series supporting 5G phone cases.
Apart from the 5G cases, more tweaks have appeared in the meantime. These tweaks are either related to the camera module or the other vital segments of the device. And there is still a lot more to come till September 6.
Huawei is set to unleash the Mate 50 series on September 6 and the Chinese tech maker is bringing a number of new technologies to the camera section this time. Yes, the camera has been the dominant part of Huawei smartphones over the past years, that’s how others have copied it to bring them on their devices.
According to the information coming from a Weibo tipster, the Huawei Mate 50 series will come with a 60fps video recording at 4k resolution. On the other hand, the Huawei Mate 50 RS Porsche Design will boast an HDR vivid recording feature for the consumer.
Huawei Mate 40 series has also been featured with 60fps 4k video recording but the company may further improve the colors and the smoothness while operating at 4K mode. However, bringing the HDR vivid mode to smartphones is something completely different and exciting.
First, let’s talk about HDR
“HDR stands for high dynamic range. Put simply, it’s the range of light and dark tones in your photos. The human eye has a very high dynamic range — which is why we can see details in both shadows and highlights. It can be difficult for cameras to catch the same amount of details because their ranges are slightly smaller.” (via adobe)
Nowadays, HDR cameras have now become more common among smartphones.
Now come to HDR Vivid:Advertisement
Last year, China UHD Video Industry Alliance (CUVA) launched China’s first ever high dynamic range video standard – HDR Vivid. This video standard covers the key value chain of HDR standards including ultra high definition video capture and production, encoding and transmission, and display.
Compared with traditional technologies, HDR Vivid features increased contrasts, while also offering 3D display capabilities, enabling users to view real images in more brilliant hues, with high quality in dark environments, and more accuracy in bright environments.
Also, HDR Vivid creates images that look more real and authentic than those under HDR. HDR Vivid harnesses extended reality (XR), to transcend the limitations of time and space, rendering anytime, anywhere audiovisuals.
Huawei has already used HDR vivid display in its smart TVs but the company is now bringing it to the flaghip devices, which is a technology that will make a difference.Advertisement
Huawei Mate 50 with HDR Vivid:
Yes, the tech may not come to the standard model but it’s interesting to see what HDR vivid recording makes difference as compared to the regular HDR recording mode.
Thanks to the Huawei Nova series that shows a peek at what is possible when cutting-edge technology, creative ambition, and forward-thinking design come together in a palm-sized gadget, and company should continue the most artistic handset in the form of the Nova 5T successor, which should have been the Nova 6T.
But, where is Nova 6T smartphone, why has the company not activated or talked about the Nova 5T successor even after gaining outstanding market value among the consumers related to the Nova series? And Huawei Nova 5T is the best example of the successful journey of the Nova series in the market.
It being around four years since the Huawei Nova 5T launched in the market and this is more than sufficient time for the company to reveal the successor of the Nova 5T smartphone series in the market. While taking the market value of the Nova 5T smartphone among consumers is as follows. Huawei Nova 5T market value:
None of the setting or season, classic fashion design draws on its fundamental principles and themes to produce timeless looks. The Huawei Nova 5T stands out from the crowd with a daring new design while maintaining the nova series’ well-known elegance and practical appeal.Advertisement
Huawei Nova 5T is the ideal balance of power and style, boasting flagship premium features like 5 AI cameras and lighting performance with its Kirin 980 processor. The smart young consumer of today expects more from their smartphone. The Nova 5T can adapt to whatever the circumstance requires of it.
A wide range of common functions that are intended to simplify daily tasks is included in smartphones. The Huawei Nova 5T, on the other hand, has a few unique tricks in its sleeve that can make your everyday activities smarter.
But, here is the big questing that arises why not the company is planning for the Huawei Nova 5T successor – with the love and support gained from the users of the Nova 5T, the company should be hasty about the launch of Nova 6T but it shows opposite. Huawei is not even taking initiative about it. Highlights of Huawei Nova 5T:
A 6.26-inch FHD+ screen with a 2340 x 1080 resolution is included with the Nova 5T. It has a hole-punch front camera that is located in the top left corner of the phone. The Nova 5T has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.7%, which allows users to fully immerse themselves in streaming films and gaming even if it is not a completely bezel-less full-screen tablet.Advertisement
The Huawei Nova 5T takes Kirin 980 HiSilicon chipset. It is an improvement over the Kirin 970 found in the Nova 3, with the 980 having a better overall CPU and GPU. 8GB RAM powers the Nova 5T together with the Kirin 980, enabling users to multitask without worrying about the gadget freezing or lagging.
However, judging the Chinese tech giant’s point of view, they are busy developing and launching the HarmomyOS 3 operating system for Chinese users. New software is also important for the smartphone for the new interface.
Recently, Huawei launched the HarmonyOS 3 operating system and is currently in the beta procedure for the eligible devices, which is Huawei’s major success of the year but it’s only for Chinese models. Where is Huawei Nova 6T:
Huawei should launch the Huawei Nova 6T smartphone to increase the sales the of Nova series, which is degraded due to the long gap for the new series of Nova T-series. Well if the company launched the Nova 6T, which is nowhere to be seen at the moment, then we definitely want to see what consumer reacts to it, as Nova 5T has already done a lot.Advertisement
