Embedded vision kit employs SoC FPGA - EDN

Microchip’s Smart Embedded Vision development platform is a full-featured kit for designing with PolarFire RISC-V SoC FPGAs. The platform enables the design of secure, reliable, and power-efficient vision systems in applications ranging from neural network inferencing to industrial IoT (IIoT) and factory automation.

The Smart Embedded Vision development platform joins the company’s previously announced VectorBlox software development kit and IP for using PolarFire devices to program a trained neural network without prior FPGA expertise. This latest offering simplifies edge-compute application development in thermally challenging industrial environments.

Along with support for Microchip’s Mi-V RISC-V ecosystem, the Smart Embedded Vision development kit offers the following features:
